LYMAN- Mildred “Millie” Shepard, age 71, passed away on March 19th. She
was born on May 13, 1952, in East Cambridge, Ma, a daughter of the late
Alfred J. Zalenski and Arline M. Frost. She was loved by her family and
many, many friends. Millie lived life to the fullest on her terms. She
enjoyed trips to Florida to visit with family and many trips with friends to
northern Maine. These trips were often taken on her motorcycle which she
very much enjoyed, either by herself or with her friends. Millie had a big
“can do” attitude and accomplished many projects of various kinds around her
home. She was an avid deer hunter and was a huge lover of animals,
especially dogs. Jama was her little dumpling and held a special place in
her heart. Millie was always there to lend a helping hand.
She is predeceased by her soul mate Kenny Ham, brother Alfred J Zalenski,
Jr. and sister Virginia Malston.
She is survived by a son, Robert Anderson, of Rochester, NH, sister, Arline
Nason, of Wolfeboro, NH, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Per Millie’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. If you gather your
friends and family, raise a glass for Millie and to living life on one’s
own terms.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Southern
Maine, 390 Route One, Scarborough, Maine 04074 for their support and comfort
of Millie in her final weeks.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service, Buxton, www.mainefuneral.com
