Marcy Day, 60, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Steve Hand officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
Mrs. Day was born December 9, 1963, in Dayton Ohio, to the late Barbara Ann Gibson. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and bake, and was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Day; her son, Chad Bishop, Sr. & Heather; 2 daughters: Jamie Day & Chris Beard, and Erica Bishop & Alexandria Ivey; grandchildren: Cam McBryde & Brae, CJ Bishop, Conner Hudson, Caylin Bishop, and Cole Bishop, one great grandchild, Beckham McBryde; siblings: Carla Smith & Stevie, Darla Biggers & Charlie, Shannon Starnes & Reese, William Stevens & Julie; several nieces and nephews; her faithful companion Ziva and her caretaker, Keke Campbell. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Scott Vickers and Brett Vickers.
