Marcelle B. (Lesieur) Sarrasin, age 93, passed away on March 18, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born on September 9, 1930 in Chicopee, daughter of the late Leodor J. and Estelle (Boulanger) Lesieur. Marcelle worked as a cash application clerk for Baystate Medical Center for many years before she retired in 1995. She sang for many years in the Assumption Church choir and loved to knit, crochet and do needlepoint. She is predeceased by her husband Roland J. Sarrasin; her brother Thomas Lesieur, two sisters Denise Tillotson and Phyllis Chlastawa and her granddaughter Jessica Sarrasin. She is survived by her sons Jim Sarrasin and his wife Solange of Chicopee and Joe Sarrasin and his wife Sharon of Chicopee; one daughter Jeanne Gardner and her husband Al Gardner of Vero Beach, Florida; four grandchildren, Erik Gardner, Mark Gardner, Joe Sarrasin Jr and Amanda Sarrasin and four great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee.
