John J. Ryan, Jr, age 69, of Mansfield, passed away following a brief illness, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Born in Boston, MA on October 24, 1954, he was a loving son of the late John J., Sr. and Helen D. (Gaffey) Ryan.
Jack grew up in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston and was a 1972 graduate of Charlestown High School. He proudly served his country for four years in the United States Navy. He had made his home in Mansfield for the past seventeen years and prior to retiring, was employed in the Mail Room at the U.S. Postal Annex in South Boston. For fun, Jack enjoyed building model cars.
He was the devoted brother of William F. Ryan and his wife Karen of Plainville, Tricia A. Curran and her husband Scot of Walpole, David G. Ryan and his wife Susan of Mansfield and the late Kathleen Burn. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services, along with burial at St James the Apostle Cemetery in West Roxbury will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
