Obituary

LIMINGTON- Robert D. Sisson, aka Bob, passed away at home on March 19, 2024, with his family and close friends at his side. Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Grace, of 54 years, his daughters Michelle and Marsha, and his granddaughter Willow.

Bob grew up in Jamestown, Rhode Island to parents Everett and Doris and his siblings Mary Jane, Betty-Ann, and Tom. When he was 18, he enlisted in the Army and served four tours in the Vietnam War from 1968-1969 in the 1st Cavalry Division, 7th Battalion. Bob received two Bronze Stars, and two Air Medals and attained the rank of Sergeant E-5. Bob valued this service highly. He was formally the Farm Manager for Fox Hill Farm for many years and then he changed careers and was the Maintenance Manager for Grossmans Properties in North Kingstown, RI until he retired at age 63.

After retiring, Bob and his wife moved to Limington, Maine. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing, attending Sunday mass at the First Baptist Church, and volunteering his time and woodworking skills for friends, neighbors, and various local organizations.

Bob was laid to rest at Cedar Brook Cemetery in his beautiful handmade coffin on March 22, 2024, during a private burial service.
