James Needham Arnold, 84, of Cumming passed away Thursday, November 6, 2003. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2003, in the Chapel of Louie E. Jones Funeral Home in Cumming with the Rev. Keith A. Lee and Jerry Truitt officiating. A graveside funeral service was held for Mr. Arnold at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2003, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he was laid to rest.
Born in Tifton, Mr. Arnold was the son of the late Johnny King Arnold and Rosa Sumner Arnold; and one brother, George Gilford Arnold. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in World War II. He retired in 1977 from Hoover-Morris Development Company and Wen-Co Foods, Inc. as a general superintendent. He was a member of the Tifton Masonic Lodge #47 and Hasan Shrine Temple in Albany and the Elks Club in Tifton, V.F.W. in Tifton and Fellowship Baptist Church in Cumming.
Mr. Arnold is survived by his wife, marguerite Willis Arnold of Cumming; his children and their spouses, Gail and Daniel Winge of Pooler, Ricky D. and Stacey Arnold of Springfield and Gary G. and Judy Arnold of Cumming; one sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Joe Bill Davis of Warwick; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Namon and Jolene Willis of Tifton; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
