Broomfield, CO - William P. Small (Smelewicz), 94, formerly of Worcester, MA, died on January 28, 2024, at Adara Living Center in Broomfield, CO. He was predeceased by his wife Madeleine (Hetu) Small in 2004. He is survived by his children, Micky Small of Oxnard, CA and Billy Small of Broomfield, CO. He was born in Worcester, MA, son of Anthony and Anna (Motiejunas) Smelewicz. He received an MA in Comparative Literature from Clark University in Worcester, MA. He was a Guidance Counselor for most of his career at Cheshire High School, in Cheshire, CT. He proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He had a lifelong passion for books, writing, and language, completing two short stories entirely through dictation, at the age of 93. Services were private.
