Ellen Therese (Heenan) McLaughlin, age 97, of Medford passed away on Monday, March 18th. Born and raised in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Elizabeth (O'Connell) Heenan. Ellen was dedicated to her faith and watched Catholic Television and prayed the Rosary daily. She also loved animals and spending time in her summer home in New Hampshire. Ellen adored her family, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren always brought a smile to her face.
Ellen was the beloved wife of the late John McLaughlin, and the devoted mother of John McLaughlin, Kevin McLaughlin and his wife Paula, James McLaughlin, Stephen McLaughlin, and Therese Lanzilli and her husband Albert. She was the loving grandmother of Colleen, Jennifer, Erin, Kevin, Jr., Victoria, Cameron and Christopher, and the great grandmother of Jayden, Kaley, Brooke, A.J. and Jimmy. Ellen was the dear sister of Edward Heenan, Catherine Cournoyer, and the late John Heenan, Mary DiNapoli, Betty Morgan and Arnold Heenan. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 21st, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
