Jordan Amadeus Rodman originally from North Falmouth passed away on Friday, March 8 in his apartment in Hyannis. He died in his sleep of an apparent heart attack. He was 37 years old. Jordan is the son of Betty J. Rodman (Cook) of Birmingham, AL, and Peter R. Rodman of North Falmouth.
Jordan was born in Stoughton, MA, moved to North Falmouth in childhood and graduated from Falmouth High School in 2004. He earned his Associates Degree in liberal arts from 4C’s and attended Umass Dartmouth where he majored in philosophy.
Jordan drew with pen and ink since early childhood and became a skilled artist as an adult. His portraits and self-portraits were especially insightful and incisive. He loved long walks, lively conversions, Japanese art, graphic novels, video games, Blue Oyster Cult concerts, Godzilla movies, and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
Besides his mother and father, Jordan is survived by his stepmother Nancy W. Rodman (Kajumoh), and his siblings, Rapsody J. Johnson, Elijah A., Joshua M, Zion I., Jonathan P., and Ollie A. Rodman. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Louvenia and Eddie Cook, paternal grandparents Beatrice and Morton Rodman, and his sisters Erika A. Johnson and Bashie L. Rodman
