Basil Bulus Vickers, 81, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at Tift Health Care. A graveside funeral service was held for Mr. Vickers at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2004, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he was laid to rest. The Rev. Terrell Roberts officiated.
Born November 27, 1922, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Mr. Vickers was the son of the late Eubulus Vickers and Mary Fuller Vickers. He retired from the United States Army and also served in the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Vickers is survived by three brothers, Victor V. Vickers, Hubert M. "Doc" Vickers and James L. Vickers, all of Tifton; and three sisters, Resa Vickers Greene and Pasala Vickers Tucker, both of Tifton and Betty Vickers Hall of Orlando, Florida.
