Obituary

Edward Tontodonato of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Melrose – Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. He was 80 years of age.

Born in East Boston, Edward was the loving son of the late Luigi Tontodonato and Camille (Cardinelli) Tontodonato. Edward was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Edward was a dedicated inscriber in the sheet metal industry for many years. He was a very friendly man who always had a smile on his face and a story for his neighbors. Edward enjoyed sports, especially hunting and fishing. He was a devoted member of the American Legion in Wilmington. During World War II, Edward proudly served our country as a Private in the United States Army.

Edward was the beloved husband of 55 years to Elena (Alvino) Tontodonato. He was the dear brother of the late Nicholas, Joseph, Anthony, Alfred and Albert Tontodonato, the late Filomena Cerello, Eleanor Infantino, Norma Pyzynski and Mary Spert. Edward was the brother in law of Diana Campagna, Marie Garrone Fitzgibbon, Gloria Alvino, Barbara Fitzpatrick and Joseph Alvino. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Edward’s life in St. Patrick’s Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, W. Peabody.
