Erline Parks Taylor, 84, of Ty Ty passed away Saturday, January 31, 2004, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Dan Robinson officiating. Mrs. Taylor was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Marcus Evans, Jason Evans, Bryan Nicholson, David Keith, Buck McCranie, Bill Brim, William Nicholson and Derry Hewett served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Edwin Walker, Ed Walker, Maurice McAllister and Ed Moore.
Born August 24, 1919, in Ty Ty (Tift County), Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Earl Cook parks and Era Tison Parks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Gibbs "Shine" Taylor; one daughter; three brothers; and one sister. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Ty Ty United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James Earl "Jim bo" and Elaine Marie Taylor of Tifton; one daughter, Susan Parks Taylor of Tifton' one sister, Peggy Parks Evans of Ty Ty; and two grandchildren, James Edwin "Shine" Taylor and Amy Parks Taylor.
