Obituary

Marnie Gunn Talley, 35, of Chula passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Her funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Dan Eidson and the Rev. Lamar Harris officiating. Mrs. Talley was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Jeff Partlow, Tony Lawson, Donnie Holton, Gordon Burgess, Dan Gibson and Rob Faulk served as pallbearers.

Born May 14, 1969, in Tift County, Mrs. Talley was the daughter of Larry Gunn and Barbara Hall Gunn of Omega. She was a Special Education teacher; and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chula. Marnie's family and friends were the source of her happiness and she got her strength from God above. She had a gift to teach and work with her students like none other. She was blessed with a wonderful husband whom she loved with all her heart and together they gave us all two special gifts, Marlee and Cole. Through them, Marnie's love and spirit will always shine through.

To so many Marnie was an angel here on earth. she touched so many lives with her gift of kindness and generosity, always thinking of others before herself. she was loved by so many and we were all blessed by her strength and passion for life. She will always be in our hearts and will be truly missed. We love you, Marnie.

Marnie was preceded in death by six grandparents, Andrew Jackson and Ruby Gunn, Emmett and Inez Holton, Victor Hall and A. W. Talley.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Talley is survived by her husband, Connie Lee Talley, Jr. of Chula; one son, Jackson Cole Talley of Chula; one daughter, Marlee Nicole Talley of Chula; one sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Ray E. Baker, Jr. of Sanford, North Carolina; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, C. L. "Buddy" and Wilhelmina B. Talley of Chula; one sister-in-law and her husband, Kim and Gerard Ascani of Tifton; her maternal grandparents, Andrew Jackson and Ruby Gunn of Omega; two nephews, Ray E. Balker, III of Raleigh, North Carolina and Nicholas Ascani of Tifton; and one niece, Eve Copeland of Tifton.
