Carl Lawrence Crossin, 83, of Abbeville, Georgia, died Friday, March 15, 2024, at his residence.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Interment will follow at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Crossin was born October 5, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Floyd Woodson & Anna Mae Linville Crossin. He was a captain in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. Mr. Crossin retired from Civil Service. He attended church in the Bowens Mill Community.
He is survived by his brother, Woodson Edward Crossin & Carolyn Gladys; two nephews: Mike Crossin & Sandra and Patrick Crossin & Barbara; two nieces: Paula Troyer & Mark and Jan Crossin; two great-nieces: Katie Elrod & William and Andrea Crossin; four great-nephews: Michael Crossin, Jr. & Whitley, Daniel Troyer, Jesse McClain, and Phillip Crossin; and five great-great-nephews: Liam Elrod, Ledger Crossin, Mitch Crossin, Benjamin May and James Hill and a great-great niece, Aubrianna Hill.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
