Obituary

Elizabeth “Ann” Dudek, 80 of Knoxdale, PA and formerly of Burnside, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

Ann was born on July 7, 1943 at the home of her grandparents, Alice and Don Patchin to Laura “Tink” Patchin.

Ann was a graduate of the Purchase Line High School.

In 1961, Ann married the late Howard “Spud” Wetzel and they had two daughters, Ruth Ann and Mary. They shared twenty-two wonderful years together.

Ann worked as a secretary for the Purchase Line School District, where she met and eventually married the late Stanley “Stush” Dudek on April 29, 1994. They shared eighteen blessed years together. Ann retired from Purchase Line after thirty-five years of service.

Ann served as secretary for the Burnside Cemetery Association for many years, as well as being a past member of the Glen Campbell American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Ann enjoyed traveling with her daughters and grandchildren; playing BINGO and attending the Sight and Sound productions in Lancaster, PA.

She loved watching her grandsons, Seth and Sean play baseball and attending parades to watch Nikki, Morgan, and Faith twirl batons in past years.

Over the past year, Ann enjoyed a new adventure; camping with Morgan and her dogs, Holly and Luna.

Ann, along with her mother, Tink, helped her daughter, Ruth Ann, with the operation of her craft shop, The Three Generations. The three enjoyed being together, making and selling homemade items at various craft shows in the area for many years.

Ann was a member of the Burnside United Methodist Church (now Burnside Bible Church) and the Faithful Followers Methodist Charge in Knoxdale, PA. She loved her church families, helping with the children’s Sonbeams and attending the weekly Bible Study.

She is survived by her two daughters: Ruth Ann Timblin and husband Ken of Rossiter, PA; Mary Barber and husband Mike of Brookville, PA; one stepson, Craig Dudek and wife Doreen of South Carolina; grandchildren: Seth Timblin and wife Heather; Sean Pearce and wife Amanda; Nicole Sheakley and husband, Dylan; Morgan Timblin; Faith Pearce and fiancé Mikey and Michaela Barber; great grandchildren: Madi; Ava; Asher; Stephen Leroy; Hunter and Jaxton.

Ann is also survived by two sisters: Alice Steele and husband Ed and Donna Davis and husband, Denny and her beloved dog, Rosie.

She was preceded in death by her husbands: Howard Wetzel and Stanley Dudek; her mother, Laura “Tink” and stepfather, Russell Stockley; sister, Inez “Pete” and brother-in-law, Glenn Fuller and stepson, Kevin Dudek.

Family and friends will be received from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd in Hillsdale, PA. On Tuesday, March 19, 2024 viewing will continue from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Burnside Bible Church, 65 East 3rd Street in Burnside, PA, where an 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be held with Pastor Michael B. Coats from the Faithful Followers Methodist Charge officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be forwarded to the Burnside Bible Church at 65 East 3rd Street, Burnside, PA 15721 and the Faithful Followers Methodist Charge, P. O. Box 90, Knoxdale, PA 15847.
