Rita M. (Robinson) Haley, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, March 15, 2024 at her home in Charlestown. She was 79 years of age.
Rita was born in Boston on September 11, 1944, a daughter of the late Harold "Lefty" Robinson and Rita (Allard) Robinson. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School System and graduated from Charlestown High School. Rita devoted her life to being a homemaker so she could care for her beloved family and play an enormous role in the lives of her grandchildren. Rita was the ultimate caregiver and was always there for those in need.
Rita is the devoted mother of Dana Curry and his wife Lynn, and the late Derek "Jeff" Curry and his surviving wife Jean. She is the loving Nana of Jeff, Tiffany, Paige, Jack, Matthew, and to her great-grandson Luca. She is the beloved sister of Linda Grasso and her husband Bill, Robert Robinson and his wife Pat, Charles Robinson, and the late Claire Levenson, Jane McNeil, and Paul Robinson. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rita's visiting hours on Monday morning, March 18, 2024 from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon with a Prayer Service beginning at 11:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will be private.
