James “Randall” McBrayer, 70, of Baxley passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church in Tifton with the Rev. Ashley Way officiating. Mr. McBrayer will be laid to rest at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Graham United Methodist Church Cemetery in Graham. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church in Tifton from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Alex Evans, Joey Garrick, Mitchell Wood, William Baldree, Jacob Dove and Mason Strickland will serve as pallbearers.
Born October 26, 1953, in Tifton, Mr. McBrayer was the son of the late James “Buford” McBrayer and Eliese Holbrook McBrayer. He was also preceded in death by one sister, June McBrayer. Before retiring, he worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation for 32 years.
Mr. McBrayer is survived by his wife, Emma Bailey McBrayer of Baxley; one son and daughter-in-law, Randall “Jason” and Erika McBrayer of Ringgold; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Dennis Evans of Moultrie; his bonus children, Donnie Foster of Hazelhurst, Lewis Foster of Lima, Ohio, Belenda Moore of Hazelhurst and Crystal Wood of Denton; one brother, Larry McBrayer of Tifton; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Patsy and Joey Garrick and Betty Sue McBrayer, all of Tifton; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
