WEBSTER – David P. Choiniere, 73, died Tuesday, March 13, 2024 in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge with family at his side.
He leaves 6 siblings, Stephen R. Choiniere and his wife Rebecca of Knox, NY, Robert P. Choiniere and his wife Linda of Gibsonia, PA, Mary-Jane Verdier and her husband Patrick of Cumberland, RI, Thomas R. Choiniere and his wife Christine of Leland, NC, Carol-Anne Allen and her husband Scott of Milford, and John D. Choiniere and his wife Helen Marie of Shrewsbury; nephews and nieces, a grand-nephew and grand-nieces, and many friends.
He was born in Worcester on October 8, 1950, the first child of L. Roland and Joan (Killoran) Choiniere and lived in Oxford before moving to Webster in 1964. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1968 and held a bachelor’s degree in economics from UMass/Amherst.
Mr. Choiniere belonged to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and was a man of strong faith. He enjoyed music, bird watching, walking and the outdoors in general. He loved visiting with family and friends.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, March 19, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, March 18, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
