Mary Elizabeth Hall Burr, 80, of Enigma passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Mrs. Burr will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 17, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Blake Evans, Bryce Evans, Gage Sumner, Hunter Golden, James Wade and Scott Parker will serve as pallbearers.
Born February 25, 1944, in Nashville, Mrs. Burr was the daughter of the late Grover Bishop Hall and Ethel Godbolt Hall. She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister. She was a retired waitress; and she was of the Baptist faith. She was everybody's "Granny Burr".
Mrs. Burr is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Lisa Tatum and Robert Spivey and Tracey and Robert Golden, all of Enigma; one son and his wife, Ricky Burr and Shannon Herod of Enigma; seven grandchildren, Mike Sumner, Jr., Melissa Kilpatrick, Hannah Tatum, Brittany Sirmans, Tori Parker, Taylor Harper and Zack Golden; and 16 great-grandchildren.
