Rachel Jenkins Fields, 90, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2PM, Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. De Chappell and the Rev. Josh Bowles officiating. The interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 6PM to 8PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Fields was born May 26, 1933, in Jasper Alabama, to the late Chelsie and Pearlie South Jenkins. She was formally employed as a seamstress with Kaminsky & Sons and Y & W. She was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God in Fitzgerald, and was also a licensed Minister. She was very adamant of her faith, and loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her favorite hobby was word search puzzles and spreading the gospel.
She is survived by her children: Beverly Martin of Fitzgerald, Elaine & Bennie Hutto of Fitzgerald, Karen Baker & Freddy Reyes of Fitzgerald, Sammy & Heather Fields of Ocilla and Rose & David Grimes of Fitzgerald; a daughter in law, Ann Fields; 14 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 19 great great grandchildren, and two on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: J.W. Fields; son and daughter in-law: Richard & Beth Fields; a son: Dale Fields; grandchild, Jonathon Hutto; and a great grandchild, Peyton Berryhill.
