WEBSTER – Geries M. Gibran, 76, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Toffaha Farah; a son, Mikhael “Mike” Jobran and his wife Rasha of Webster; 4 daughters, Carmen Gibran and her husband Christian Schovsbo of the United Kingdom, Carla Lemerle and her husband Thibaut of France, Darine Al Hayek and her husband George and Milia Gibran, both of Lebanon; 9 grandchildren. He was eagerly awaiting the birth of his 10th grandchild.
He was born on July 25, 1947 in Ein el Delb, Lebanon and raised there, a son of Mikhael and Milia (Semaan) Gibran. He and his wife moved to the United States in 2015. He was a college graduate in Lebanon.
Mr. Gibran served in the Lebanese Army for 20 years retiring with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer.
A private funeral Mass will be held in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 42 Dudley Hill Road, Dudley. Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster.
