LACONIA ---- Priscilla Marguerite (Dumais) Clavitte, 94, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 10, 2024, surrounded by family at Belknap County Nursing Home.
She was born September 4, 1929, in Laconia, the daughter of Wilfred and Anna Dumais.
Priscilla was often seen baking/cooking, especially chocolate chip cookies, crocheting afghans for her family, on walks with her husband, playing with her grandchildren, hosting family get-togethers, or outside puttering around in her gardens. She loved to go on rides and daily outings with her daughters throughout the state. Priscilla had a contagious whit/sass that made everyone around her laugh.
She leaves behind two sons, Mark and Tracy Pilotte, of Grafton, MA and Michael and Holly Pilotte, of Hingham, MA; three daughters, Margaret “Peggy” and Gordon Walker, of Belmont, Marcia and Donald Lamontagne, of Gilford, and Michelle and Richard Gluyas, of Laconia; eight grandchildren, Lindsey Mills, Samantha Horne, Samantha Dickson, Jessica Gluyas, Austin Gluyas, Aubrey Pilotte, Delaney Pilotte, and Jack Pilotte; and five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Logan, Colton, Beckham, and Henry. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Earle Aubrey Pilotte, her second husband, Fred Joseph Clavitte, Jr., brothers Robert Dumais, Gerald Dumais, and Richard Dumais, and sisters Charlotte Provencal, Elizabeth Haslam and Anita Minnon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 10:00am at the St. Andre Bessette Parish - Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH.
Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, NH. After the burial ceremony there will be a party to celebrate “Miss Priss” (Priscilla) at the Laconia VFW, 143 Court St., Laconia, NH.
For those who wish, the family suggests memorial contributions in Priscilla’s name be made to Belknap County Nursing Home Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246; and/or Granite VNA Hospice, 30 Pillsbury St., Concord, NH 03301.
