WORCESTER - MaryAnn (Potenti) Bujnowski, 68, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 29, 2024. She was born July 10, 1955 in Worcester, daughter of John and Marion (Saunders) Potenti. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Bouchriha of Worcester, her son, Jeremy Bujnowski and his wife, Laura (Power) of Rutland, grandchildren, Giancarlo Bujnowski & his girlfriend Qariah McCoy, Muhammad & Laila Bouchriha of Worcester and Benjamin & Brenna Bujnowski of Rutland, great-granddaughters, Freyja & Anastasia Bujnowski of Worcester, a sister, Janice (Potenti) Mahoney and her husband Joe of Florida, a brother, Richard Potenti and his wife Donna (Marment) of Worcester, sister in law, Donna (Lapriore) Potenti of Worcester, sisters in law, Carol Baker and her husband Mike, of Oxford, and Donna Gervais of Sturbridge, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including a dear friend Norma Bradley and longtime family friend Anne Clotar-Pinto.
She is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Anthony J. Bujnowski, her father and mother, John and Marion Potenti, and her father and mother in law, Joseph and Nancy (Covello) Bujnowski, her brothers, Johnny Potenti, Bobby Potenti, Jimmy Potenti, brother in law, Ed Gervais, her son in law Mahrez Bouchriha, and dear friends Linda Duggan, John Pinto, and Walter Bradley.
Mrs. Bujnowski was educated in Worcester Schools. She worked for the Commonwealth prior to retiring. She loved her family fiercely. She was devoted to her family and treasured times spent with them. She not only enjoyed being a prankster, but liked to watch baseball with her husband and play games of all sorts with her grandchildren. She was quick-witted, a spitfire, with her passionate Italian temperament for life and her loved ones. An excellent listener, MaryAnn was woman who always listened to and lent an ear for everyone and anyone’s stories and problems. She always made time for others. MaryAnn loved gardening, the Beatles and going to the beach.
Calling hours are from 9:30 am - 11:30 am on Friday, March 15, 2024, with a celebration of life and prayer service immediately following at Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home on 298 Grafton Street in Worcester.
