Agnes E. Smith, 93

Agnes E. (Tarantino) Smith, age 93, of Vero Beach, Florida, formerly of Sharon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Patricha Adult Family Care Home in Vero Beach. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth M. Smith, who died on November 15, 2009.
Born in Boston, MA on July 27, 1930, she was a loving daughter of the late Robert D. and Mary F. (Mutascio) Tarantino.
Agnes grew up in Sharon and was educated in Boston Schools. Prior to retiring, she had worked in the accounts payable department and as a shoe model for the Morse Shoe Company in Canton.
A resident of Florida for the past twenty years, Agnes loved spending time with her adoring family, which included traveling with her nephew Rick and her late husband Kenneth. She also loved playing bocci, painting, Mountain Dew, Entenmann’s chocolate cake and especially anything pertaining to her favorite cartoon character “Tweety Bird.”
She was the dear sister of Robert Tarantino and his wife Anne of Walpole and Richard Tarantino of Mansfield and Richard’s late wife Dolores “Dee” Tarantino. She is also survived by several generations of loving nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield on Friday, March 15th at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
