James F. Cardarelli, 80, of Brockton, died March 7th, at Milford Hospital after a sudden illness.
He was raised in Rockland by Italian immigrants, Frank & Nancy Cardarelli. He graduated from Rockland District High School, in the class of 1962.
Jim worked at the Federal Reserve Bank, where he met his beloved late wife, Lorraine. He was employed there for 23 years, before entering his retirement. In his retirement, he was an avid space enthusiast, and enjoyed anything Sci-Fi related.
Jim is pre-deceased by his parents, Frank and Nancy Cardarelli, his wife Lorraine Lanzillo Cardarelli, and his former wife, Judith M. Howland.
He is survived by his son Michael and his wife Monica; his daughter Chrystine and her husband Doug Strothman; his stepson Robert Boyer and stepdaughter Denice Verhoeven. In addition to his children, he leaves behind grandchildren Gabriella, Anthony, Justin, Connor and J.J. as well as great-grandchildren Isabella, Gianni, and Ignazio.
Family and friends are invited to attend Jim's visiting hours Tuesday, March 12th from 5:00-7:00 PM with a memorial service at 7:00 PM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. A private burial will be held at a later date.
