Dr. Joseph J. Arrigo, a respected pharmacist, committed family man and horseman, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2024 in Milford, Massachusetts. He was the beloved husband of Paula J. (LaVecchia) Arrigo, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.
Born on July 10, 1932 in Somerville, he was 91 years old at the time of his passing.
Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Albanese) Arrigo.
Joe is the stepfather of David Botti, Richard Botti and the grandfather of Alana, Christopher, and Ciara Botti. Also surviving are many nieces & nephews.
He was the beloved brother of the late Frank, Raymond, Concetta Luisi, James, Pasquale, Louis Arrigo and MaryJane Lantz.
Joe was a cherished figure in his family, known for his loving nature, intelligence and optimism.
Joe was a graduate of Somerville High School and the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He along with his brothers Raymond and Pat owned and operated Arrigo Brothers Pharmacy of Brookline for over 35 years. His dedication and commitment to his profession earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and the community her served.
He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1957.
In the end Joe Arrigo will be remembered as much more than a successful pharmacist and a devoted family man.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Wednesday March 13th, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 8:30-10:30AM.
His funeral Mass will follow at St. Mary's Church, Franklin at 11AM.
Burial with military honors will be in the parish cemetery.
