Donna Kathleen Deschamp (Harty), a beloved resident of the Merrimack Valley, passed away peacefully at her home on March 6, 2024 at the age of 65. Donna was predeceased by parents Richard and Marilyn Harty, along with siblings David Harty and Debra Harty. She is survived by her sister, Dianne Houde. She will be deeply missed by her longtime partner and best friend, Ralph “Butch” Richards, her five children; Jennifer Deschamp and partner Jake Barchard, Barbara Deschamp, Andrea Deschamp, Dennis Deschamp and partner Ashley English, and Kelly Leonard and husband Patrick Leonard. She also leaves behind her 7 grandchildren; Evan and partner Mashayla, Zachery, Violet, Joel, Ava, Lexi, Cash, and great grandchild, Luca.
Donna was a native of the Merrimack Valley, growing up in Methuen before moving to Lawrence. She then raised her children in North Andover with her ex-husband Dennis Deschamp before settling down in Haverhill for the last 16 years of her life. Donna worked for the Internal Revenue Service for over 30 years before retiring five years ago.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Donna will remember her as a firecracker-always making witty jokes and was fun to be around. Donna was also known for her generosity and selflessness. She always put the needs of others before her own and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. She had a motto of always trying to do at least one good deed per day for someone else. During the holidays she always made donations- even if it was her last penny.
Donna was an avid New England Patriots fan. In her free time, Donna enjoyed watching sports, soap operas and game shows, cooking, and spending time with her partner Ralph and her family. She loved to have a good time and was always the life of the party.
Donna may have left this world, but her spirit and love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving partner, mother, friend, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grand mother. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, but she shall never be forgotten.

Calling hours are being held at Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home located at 390 North Main Street, Andover, MA on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm.
