Joanne M. (Amato) La Greca, of Somerville, formerly of Medford, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 8th. She was 81. Born in and raised in Medford, she was the cherished daughter of the late Vito and Margaret (Palermo) Amato.
Joanne loved everyone, and was loved in return. She would help anyone in need; there was not one person she would turn away. Joanne was the definition of generosity and unconditional love. She was dedicated to her family and taking care of them was her passion. Making them all happy was her main goal in life, and she succeeded on every level. Joanne was a dedicated wife, the best mom, a proud grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Joanne was the beloved wife of the late Joseph N. La Greca. She was the devoted mother of Steven La Greca and his wife Cheryl of Stoneham, and Jeffrey La Greca and his wife Jennifer of Somerville. She was the loving grandmother of Madeline, Alana and Michael. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
