Ramon "Junior" Acosta, Jr., born on September 27, 1951, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, peacefully passed away on March 7, 2024, in Boston, MA, at the age of 72. He was a passionate vocalist and musician who enjoyed playing the bass guitar and worshipping the Lord through song and music. He was also a Bible Study Teacher and would often be found reading books and the Bible to prepare lessons and messages to share at the church or anyone he would encounter.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Dairy Caban, his sons Heyden (Amor) and Harvey Acosta, his grandchildren Heyden Acosta, Jr., Harvier Acosta, and Unique Acosta, and his great grandchild Kasyn Acosta, and his stepchildren Aidenith Rodriguez (Alexander), Justin Plaza, and Danny Plaza (Jeanette), along with their respective children and grandchildren. Junior is also survived by his sister, Isabel Rosa.
Junior Acosta was a member of Iglesia De Dios Bendecidos Para Bendecir in Dorchester, MA, under the pastoral care of Reverend Johnny Maldonado.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 10AM to 12PM at Joseph Russo Funeral Home, located at 814 American Legion Hwy, Boston, MA 02131. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, 45 Fairview Ave, Hyde Park, MA.
