LIMINGTON- Doris (Miller) Carman, age 92, passed away on March 6, 2024.
She was born in Richmond, Maine on Jan. 17, 1932. She graduated from high school in Coffee County, Alabama and from the Maine Eye & Ear Hospital nursing school in Portland.
Over Doris’ working years, she was employed as a nurse at the Maine Eye & Ear Hospital and later became a charge nurse when the hospital became part of the new Maine Medical Center. She later owned and operated Pine Grove Real Estate.
She enjoyed watching the Golden Girls, dealing antiques, upholstering furniture, and was known for her appreciation of fashion and design.
She is predeceased by her children- Joan, John, and Sandra Bean; and all of her siblings.
Doris is survived by her grandson Brandon Jones and his wife Heather.
A private graveside service will be held at Brooklawn Memorial Park in Portland.
