Margaret Loure Tucker, 87, of Athens, Georgia, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024.
Margaret was born June 28, 1936 in Abbeville, Georgia, to the late James Surratt and Bessie Howell Surratt. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a homemaker and she provided childcare for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling, writing poetry, and reading. She was a member of Irwinville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Mike Tucker (Misty), Lee Tucker, Angela Tucker Greene (John), Lisa Tucker Mathews (Mike); Grandchildren: Taylor Hambrick (Josh) and Jordan Nipper, Brittany and Matthew Tucker, Shelbi Havenga (Barend) and Bren Bailey, Gage Greene (Madeline), Courtney Greene Cato (Matt), and Sam Greene, Brandy Bradshaw; Great Grandchildren: Justus, Bastian, and Xander Havenga, Skyler Bradshaw, Evie Grace Cato, and Emerson Hambrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Andrew Tucker, grandson Brian Tucker, and her sisters Ruby Barber and Etta Floyd.
Private graveside services will be held on March 16, 2024.
