BROWNFIELD- Ronald Steven Blake, born on January 16, 1954, passed away surrounded by loving family on March 1, 2024.
Growing up Ron could be found collecting and trading cars, riding motorcycles and ATVs or hard at work. Over the years, he had many occupations from driving delivery, trucks and building furniture to working as a maintenance man and being a shop manager.
Ron had an impeccable talent for knowing how to get anywhere from anywhere. His years of road trips turned him into a human atlas, and he absolutely loved helping with directions and learning and sharing new routes.
Ron was an avid race goer with weekend trips to Oxford Speedway or Beech Ridge, and if he was home the race was probably on TV.
For quite some time Ron took up coloring pictures and putting them in books for his grandchildren. Laughing, teasing, joking and love were some of Ron’s amazing traits and anyone that came across him or knew him would agree.
Ron is predeceased by his mother Charlotte Rowe of Raymond and his father Arthur Blake of Brownfield.
Ron is survived by Robin Blake, his wife and partner of 44 years, his son Jarrod Blake and daughter Erica Kollander of Bridgton. His grandchildren, Valerie, Cameran, Alexandria and Tristan Kollander, Dylan Blake and a great grandson Hudson Decker with baby Burnell on the way.
Ron was survived by his four sisters, Pamela Blake Hartig and her husband Ingo of Raymond, Linda Nichols and her husband Steve from Naples, Wendy Burbank and Roger Griswold of Cumberland and Diane LaPierre of Raymond. Ron also had 4 nieces, 4 nephews and their spouses along with 5 great nieces and 5 great nephews.
Please join the family for a celebration of life on March 17, 2024, from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Mount Moriah Masonic lodge in Brownfield. We look forward to sharing memories of this amazing man.
