Claire T. (Lafond) Wesolowski, 98, of Hopedale, MA died Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, Reading, MA. She was the beloved wife of Dominik R. Wesolowski who died in 2014.
Born in Woonsocket, RI, on October 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Louis D. Lafond and Corilda M. (Marcotte) Lafond.
Claire grew up in Pascoag, RI, and graduated from Burriville High School and Edgewood Junior College. Prior to marriage she was Secretary to the Superintendent of the Bachmann Uxbridge Worsted Corporation in Pascoag, RI. In 1959, she and Dominik built a home in Hopedale, where they raised their family. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Dr. Mary Owen and her husband Christopher and Dr. Ann Walters and her husband John, and four grandchildren Jonathan Owen and his wife Christina, Daniel Owen, Andrew Walters and his wife Jemma, Alison Pepe and her husband Anthony, three great grandchildren, Julian, Domenic and Anna, and two nieces Kathleen Ledoux and Carolyn Grider. Claire was predeceased by her sister-in-law Helen Ledoux and her husband Joseph.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, March 9 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway, MA (ginleyfuneralhomes.com) followed by her funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale St., in Hopedale at 12:00 noon.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
