WEBSTER – William F. “Bill” Jones, Jr., 72, died Monday, March 4, 2024 in Quaboag Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield in the presence of his family.
He leaves 3 sons, William F. Jones, III and his wife Kumi of Vancouver, BC, Nathan W. Jones and his girlfriend Jennifer Murphy, and Nicholas J. Jones, all of Webster; a daughter, Sara V. Hibbard and her husband Adam of Sturbridge; 7 grandchildren, Caed Jones and his girlfriend Cawley, Dylan Jones, Ava Edwards, Amelia Jones, Everly Hibbard, Aisley Jones and Senna Jones; 2 sisters, Linnie Jones and her wife Akara Draper of East Dummerston, VT and Deborah Jones and her husband Joseph Szostak of Halifax, Nova Scotia; his former wife, Charlene A. (Forand) Jones and her husband Ronald Pizzanello of Eastford, CT; and several nephews and nieces.
He was born on January 12, 1952 in Buffalo, NY, the son of William F. Jones, Sr. and Dorothy (Johnson) Jones and raised in Woodbury, CT. He lived in New Hampshire and Oxford before moving to Webster. He graduated from Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro in 1970.
A carpenter, Mr. Jones owned and operated Jones Siding and Remodeling in Webster for many years.
He was an active member of the Church of Reconciliation in Webster where he had served on the vestry as junior warden, senior warden and treasurer. He sang as a bass in the church choir for many years.
Bill enjoyed golfing and wood working. He had an outgoing personality and enjoyed being with people. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 16, in the Church of the Reconciliation, 21 North Main Street, Webster, followed by interment in the church’s memorial garden. Bill would have wanted any donations in his memory to be made to the Church of the Reconciliation, 21 North Main Street, Webster, MA 01570. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street.
