Obituary

WORCESTER-Ronald F. Moran, 61, of 6 Catalpa Street died Wednesday, August 21st, in UMass Memorial Healthcare Center-Memorial Campus after being stricken ill at home. He leaves his wife of 39 years, Susan A. (Chisholm) Moran; 4 daughters, Christina M. Deshaies of Auburn, Cheryl A. Beriau, Colleen S. Pappoe and Cathleen J. Havey all of Worcester; his mother, Blanid J. (Trombly) Moran; a brother, Terrance J. Moran of Holden; 6 grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.

Born in Springfield, MA the son of Terrance J. Moran and was a graduate of St. John’s High School. He attended Worcester Junior College. He served in the United States Airforce while attending college in Rome, NY. He also attended Clark University. Mr. Moran worked as a finance associate for the Springfield Terminal Railway Co. in Billerica for 28 years, retiring in 2000. He previously worked as an insurance adjuster for several local Insurance Companies for many years. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a former member of the Our Lady of the Angels Men’s Club. He loved to travel and was an avid stamp, sports card and model train collector.

The funeral services and calling hours are private. O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue will be handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church, Mortgage Fund, 1222 Main Street, Worcester, Massachusetts, 01603.
