Marblehead
John W. Walsh, 68, of Marblehead, passed away at Lahey North Peabody on Thursday, February 29, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born in Lynn and raised in Marblehead, and was the son of the late Leo M. and Rita A. (Gaudreau) Walsh.
Jack was a graduate of Marblehead High Class of ’74. Following his graduation he continued his schooling and worked in retail sales for office supplies. He left sales to have a varied career, essentially in deliveries, in various fields and products. In addition to his family, Jack’s lifelong love was comedy.
Very few things pleased him more than entertaining on stage and making people laugh. His great sense of humor will be missed by his loved ones and many of his comedian colleagues.
He leaves his former wife and best friend, Christine A. (Cassidy) Walsh of Marblehead, their sons, Benjamin M. Walsh of Marblehead & Adam R. and wife Erin L. Walsh and granddaughter Olivia P. of Danvers, his brother, Kevin T. Walsh and wife Phyllis of Lynn, and sisters Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Benevento of Methuen & Patricia E. ‘Trish’ Anastos of Lynnwood, WA as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visiting hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. His services will be private and at a later date. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a contribution, in his memory, to the charity of your choice.
