Josephine Testa
Kind, Active and Full of Life

PEPPERELL: Josephine (Michnowski) Testa, age 90, a resident of Pepperell for 16 years, formerly of Tewksbury passed away at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of Paul C. Testa, who passed away in 1986.

Born in Montreal, Canada on January 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John Michnowski and Tekla (Oryszczak) Michnowski.

Josephine attended Montreal schools and graduated from the local high school.

In 1953, she moved to the United States and settled in Tewksbury in April of 1959.

Josephine and her late husband Paul were married on June 5, 1954 and following their wedding she dedicated her life to raising her four sons and taking care of her family.

In later years, she worked as an assembler for the TRW Company in Billerica and Leominster.

While living in Pepperell, she became associated with the Pepperell Senior Center, where she enjoyed the many activities, outings, and social programs offered.

In her spare time, Josephine loved knitting, puzzles, gardening, watching the birds that visited her bird feeders at her home and above all she loved shopping at Costco and spending time with her great grandchildren.

She will lovingly be remembered for kindness, funny sense of humor and zest for life.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Testa, and Jeff Testa and his wife Maureen (Byers), all of Pepperell: 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Amy, Kelli-Ann, Marcus, and Brittany: 12 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Josephine was the mother of the late Neil and David Testa, mother-in-law of the late Jillvane Testa, and sister of the late Michael Michnowski and Helen Dorich.

Calling hours are Thursday, March 7th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. A prayer service will be offered on Friday, March 8th, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Tewksbury Community Pantry, 999 Whipple Road, Tewksbury, MA 01876.
