Obituary

Manuel C. Reis, 77, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday February 27, 2024 after a long illness.

He was a 1964 graduate of Dartmouth High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.

Manny was employed as a business finance manager for over 30 years in the automobile industry until his retirement.

Devoutly religious, he attended Saint Mary's Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, and Our Lady's Chapel.

If you asked Manny what he enjoyed most in life, it was being with his family. There is nothing he wouldn't do for his family. He loved his dogs, Pepper and Teddy. He was an avid foodie who loved spending time in the kitchen cooking beside his wife. He loved to travel with his family and he helped others any chance that he got by donating to many organizations over the years.

Manny is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Maria, his sons, K.C. Reis and Mark Reis, both of Dartmouth; his daughter, Tami Lepage and her husband, Michael Lepage of Bristol, Rhode Island; and three grandchildren, Olivia Lepage, Sofia Reis, and Cameron Reis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Wednesday March 6th at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, South Dartmouth. Military honors will be held at Church after the Mass. Cremation will follow and his cremains will be buried in his family plot at St. John's Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
