Obituary

Worcester: Meris V. (Quist) Connors, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 29, 2024 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center. She leaves a son James Connors and his wife Mary of North Chelmsford; 2 sisters- Daryl Hebert of West Boylston and Suzanne Pierson and her husband Don of Southbridge; 7 grandchildren- Cory, Kyle, Dylan, Kristie, Kimberly, Jeffrey, and Gabriella; 10 great grandchildren; a son in law Brad Woodworth of WA; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James P. Connors, a daughter Susan Woodworth, a sister Pamela Williams, and a brother Richard Quist.

Meris was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Walter and Virginia (Peterson) Quist. She graduated from South High School and the Ward Business School and attended Clark University. She worked as a sales associate in the appliance department of Jordan Marsh and Sears. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was confirmed by Rev. Dr. O. Karl Olander. She enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and Cape Cod, shopping, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln ST. Worcester. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery.
