Thomas M. McMillan, 94, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at Beverly Health Care in Tifton. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jimmy Odum officiating. Mr. Mcmillan was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Mr. McMillan's grandsons served as pallbearers.
born June 6, 1909, in Berrien County, Mr. McMillan was the son of the late Randall McMillan and Lillie Exum McMillan. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Davis McMillan, who passed away in 2001; two brothers; and one sister. Before retiring, he was a parts manager in automotive parts sales; and he was a member of Second Street Baptist Church in Tifton, now Victory Baptist Church in Tifton. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
Mr. McMillan is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Karel and Weyman Mobley of Ocilla, Gail and ray Brooks of Adel, Janice and Mike Connor of Baxley, Sharon and Steve Curry of Tifton and Nelta and David Kimbell of Monroe, North Carolina; twelve grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
