John Henry McAllister, Jr., 42, of Enigma passed away Saturday, March 20, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Liberty Baptist Church in Tifton with the Rev. Michael Petty and the Rev. Gerald Purvis officiating. Mr. McAllister was laid to rest at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton.
Pete McAllister, Jerry McAllister, Brian Rutland, Christopher Rutland, Eddie Black, Chad Morris and Calvin Smith served as pallbearers.
Born May 31, 1961, in Tift County, Mr. McAllister was the son of the late John Henry McAllister, Sr. and Isabel Gardner McAllister. He was also preceded in death by one brother, John E. Bard. He was a construction worker; and he was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mr. McAllister is survived by one daughter, Amanda McAllister of Ty Ty; two brothers, Richard McAllister of Enigma and William "Bill" Bard of Cool Springs; three sisters, Debra Rutland of Lenox, karen Alibozek of Macon and Mary R. McAllister of Tifton.
