Susie Morrell Frazier Monk, 94, of Crawfordville, Florida, formerly of Tifton, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2004, at Eden Springs Nursing Home in Crawfordville, Florida. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2004, at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church in Brookfield with the Rev. Billy Sumner and the Rev. Bob Bridges officiating. Mrs. Monk was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Monk's grandsons served as pallbearers.
Born September 8, 1909, in Hahira, Mrs. Monk was the daughter of the late Albert Morrell and Ida Wingate Morrell. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James L. Frazier; her second husband, Charlie J. Monk; three grandchildren; two brothers; and twelve sisters. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Corinth Freewill Baptist Church in Brookfield.
Mrs. Monk is survived by three sons, Charles Monk of Tifton, Arie Monk of Blackshear and Alex Frazier of Phenix City, Alabama; seven daughters, Mattie Lou Woods of Tifton, Leila Chauncey of Lakeland, Lois Monk of Sylvester, Versie Lee Lovell of Crawfordville, Florida, Hazel Lord of Clinton, Alabama, Floyce Stewart of Columbia, South Carolina and Flora Mae Bridge of Crossett, Arkansas; fifteen granddaughters, Brenda Dabney, Wanda Williams, Nora Thornton, Tiffany Lord, Missi Stewart, Pam Buxton, Susie Long, Myrtle Exum, Mattie Molder, Ruby Lee Bentley, Peggy Bennett, Faye Tawzer, Joann Hayes, Doris Jean Samples and Tammy Gomez; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren.
