Mary Manley Mercer, 87, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2004, at Eldorado Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Allen, the Rev. Steve Sutton and the Rev. Larry Daughtry officiating. Mrs. Mercer was laid to rest at Eldorado Baptist Church Cemetery.
Tim Day, Stan Mercer, Brad Cowart, Richard Robbins, Kyle Day and Davis Cowart served as pallbearers.
Born May 24, 1917, in Chambers County, Alabama, Mrs. Mercer was the daughter of the late William Manley and Camrel Burdett Manley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Mercer, who passed away in 1981 and four brothers. She was a homemaker; and she attended Eldorado Baptist Church.
Mrs. Mercer is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Stanley "Buster" and Qunnette Mercer of Tifton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Dennis Arrington and Cindy Rutland, all of Tifton and Sandra and Lawrence Day of Greenville, Florida; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Tim and Donnie Day, Darlene and Brad Cowart, Stan and Jessica Mercer, Brooke and Richard Robbins and Mandie Rutland; and six great-grandchildren.
