Obituary

Grances Gibbs Munro, 74, of Albany passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Dan Robinson officiating. Mrs. Munro was laid to rest at Floral Memory Gardens in Albany at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2004.

Mrs. Munro's nephews served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the members of W.I.B.C.

Born June 25, 1929, in Tifton, Mrs. Munro was the daughter of the late Elbert R. Gibbs and Mary Lou Owen Gibbs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard P. Munro, who passed away in 1962; one brother, Aubrey Gibbs; and one sister, Betty G. Potts. Before retiring, she was the secretary for a bowling association; and she was a member of Brookfield United Methodist Church. She was an avid bowler; and she was an inductee of the Georgia Bowling Hall of Fame.

Mrs. Munro is survived by two brothers, Eugene W. Gibbs and W. C. Gibbs, both of Brookfield; six sisters, Reba G. Ontano of Cassel, California, Norma G. Pidgeon of Tifton, Odelle G. Abell of Jacksonville, Florida; Mary Belle G. Harrell and Hilda G. Davis, both of Brookfield and Martha Ann G. Roberts of Albany; and numerous nieces and nephews.
