Mildred Moore Medford, 85, of Tifton passed away Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2004, in the Memorial Chapel of Tifton's First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Roe officiating. Mrs. Medford was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Morgan Moon, Mike Walker, Wayne Dillard, Steve Moore, Tony Carlton, Billy Grindstaff, Sandy Sims and Charles Sumner served as pallbearers.
Born October 6, 1918, in Tift County, Mrs. Medford was the daughter of the late Clarence David Moore and Ila Jane Brand Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Medford; three brothers; and one sister. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Tifton's First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Medford is survived by one daughter, Emily Jane Medford Aiken-Simpson of Tifton; three grandchildren, Laura Margret Grindstaff, Shannon Leigh Aiken and Robert Medford Aiken; and three great-grandchildren.
