John P. Carchide, 62, of Londonderry, NH, died Tuesday February 27, 2024 in his home. He was born on March 23, 1961 in Weymouth, MA, a son of Leona (Brown) Carchide and the late John Carchide. He had been a resident of Derry for most of the past 46 years. John had been employed as a letter carrier in Londonderry for many years and was known as "John the Mailman". He enjoyed playing the drums and was an avid fan of The Who. John also enjoyed the Boston Bruins and Formula One racing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Sandy (Lewis) Carchide; his children, Keith, Crystal, Brittany, and Cindy; six grandchildren; and his sister, Kath. He was predeceased by his father, and his siblings, Danny, Joanne and Rose.
Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements.
