Obituary

Nathaniel Hale Kelley, 81, of Georgetown passed away Friday, September 24, 2004, at his daughter's residence in Georgetown. His funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2004, at Ty Ty First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Crawley, the Rev. Ken Kelly and the Rev. Danny Jones officiating. Mr. Kelley was laid to rest at Ty Ty First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Kelley's grandsons served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the member of the Bonded Brothers of Blue Grass.

Born February 25, 1923, in Berrien County, Mr. Kelley was the son of the late Clem Anerson Kelley and Minnie Lee McMillan Kelley. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, C. D. Kelley and Rayford Harvey Kelley. Before retiring, he was the supervisor of mechanics at Kelley Manufacturing Company in Tifton; and he was a member of Ty Ty First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Bonded Brothers of Blue Grass; and he was a charter member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Sycamore Lodge 210; and the Hasan Shrine Temple in Albany.

Mr. Kelley is survived by his wife, Dorothy Flippo Kelley of Georgetown; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry A. and Pamela Kelley of Leesburg and Stacey Kelley of Sylvester; two daughters and one son-in-law, Gail and Jim Griffiths of Georgetown and Trena Kelley of Macon; one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Lucy Kelley of Hollywood, Florida; one sister, Erie Archer Chambliss of Ty Ty; ten grandchildren and their spouses, Dana Barronton, Casey Kelley, Brooke Anderson, Cody Kelley, Angie and Dusty Dedge, Candace Spurlock, Austin Kelley and David and Kelley Edge; and nine great-grandchildren, Dalton Dedge, Tyler Spurlock, Cole Spurlock, Rilynn Kelley, Lauren King, Ryan King, Cailyn Anderson, Emily Anderson and Peyton Hocker.

Memorial gifts may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, 831 West Washington Street, Eufaula, AL 36027 in appreciation of their love and support during this difficult time.
