George King, 69, of Tifton passed away Thursday, October 28, 2004, at his residence. A graveside funeral service was held for Mr. King at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2004, at Lawrence Cemetery, where he was laid to rest. The Rev. T. Manuel Johnson officiated.
Born February 5, 1935, in Banks County, Mr. King was the son of the late George Washington King and Sallie Black King. He was also preceded in death by one son, Dorsey G. King; and one sister, Roylene Whitfield. He retired from Horizon; and he was of the Nazarene faith.
Mr. King is survived by one son, Roger Dale king of Tifton; one grandson, Elijah King of Tifton; and a friend, Elaine Gardner of Tifton.
