Patricia Joann Griffin Knowles, 60, of Nashville passed away Monday, June 14, 2004, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2004, at Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Cook County with the Rev. Joey Harris and the Rev. Phillip Simmons officiating. Mrs. Knowles was laid to rest at Brushy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Cook County.
W. J. Boyd, Don Jarvis, Eric Gaither, Jeff Bristol, Jody Kelly and Ronnie Harris served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Miley, Troy Stanford Sr., Troy Stanford Jr. and Gene Mathis.
Born November 16, 1943, in Berrien County, Mrs. Knowles was the daughter of the late Arlie Griffin and Doris Evelyn Ray Griffin. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Knowles is survived by her husband, Allen Knowles of Nashville; three sons, Wayne Stanford of Washington, Richard Knowles of Adel and Gary Knowles of Nashville; two daughters, Diane Stone and Lisa Jones, both of Nashville; two brothers, Randall Griffin and Bobby C. Griffin, both of Berrien County; one sister, Martha Jean Cook of Berrien County; fourteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
