Raymond M. LaMontagne, Jr., 84 of Blackinton Drive, Chepachet, died Monday, February 26, 2024 at Crystal Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center in Burrillville. He was the husband of Rita (Dumont) LaMontagne. They were married for 60 years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Raymond and Jeanne (Ferland) LaMontagne. He had lived in Chepachet for 25 years.
Ray was a self-employed master craftsman and a US Army Veteran.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Christopher LaMontagne of Sterling, CT, Jaime Lynn Nadeau and her husband Timothy of Oakridge, NC, Matthew Scott LaMontagne and his wife Lisa of Chepachet, Renee Marie Hile and her husband Christopher of Shewsbury, NJ and Elise Baril LaMontagne of Chepachet, his four grandchildren: Jared and Aiden Nadeau and Honor and O’Neal Hile, his brothers: Roger, Armand and Henry LaMontagne, and sisters Lucille Coutu and Ann Gaboriault. He was the brother of the late Lucien and Ernest LaMontagne.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 10am at St. Eugene’s Church, 1251 Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visitation will be Monday, March 4, 2024 from 4-7 at the Anderson-Winfield Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
